SNEAC
The Student Network Exploring Arts & Culture (SNEAC) is a nonprofit, student organization at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. SNEAC's mission is to promote informed discourse and activity in the arts and cultural sector, with an emphasis on policy and administration. As the only organization at NYU Wagner dedicated to the arts and cultural policy, SNEAC supplements the Wagner school's programs and specializations. We accomplish this through dynamic programming to address the intersection of cultural policy with other policy fields, arts administration and advocacy, cultural diplomacy, and urban revitalization through the arts.
Formed in 2003 in response to the lack of resources, courses, and events dedicated to cultural policy and arts administration at Wagner, SNEAC seeks to partner with other graduate student organizations and academic programs throughout the city to engage and inform the cultural and academic community. In April 2005, SNEAC received the NYU Presidential Service Award for programming, and in recent months has been recognized for its conversations surrounding National Arts Policy.
