"New York's Creative Industries: Fashion in Today's Economy"

On January 21st, SNEAC is partnering with Kiehl's Since 1851 to bring you a conversation on fashion as a creative industry. Amidst the fear of a weakening Wall Street in New York City, policymakers must depend on the strength of its creative sector as a key asset in sustaining the city's economy. Currently fashion as a creative industry provides anywhere from 80,000 to 100,000 jobs here, from designers to manufacturers to importers/exporters. In our current economic climate, what impact, if any, will Fifth Avenue have on Main Street?

The panel in formation will be moderated by Elizabeth Currid, author of The Warhol Economy: How Fashion, Art and Music Drive New York City.

Wednesday, January 21
Kiehl's Flagship at 109 Third Ave (at 13th Street)
