Calendar & Events
IPSA events include a series of monthly events, conferences, career panels, featured speakers, international food festivals, and various community events around NYU and New York City. IPSA events and IPSA-cosponsored events feature leaders in international development, academia, journalism, and the public service sphere.
Monthly events:
- Discussion Group: Monthly gatherings for which students read in advance a series of contrasting viewpoints on a specific topic relevant to international public service. Facilitated and framed by faculty, the participants delve deeper into the material by sharing insights and critiques.
- Off the Record: Monthly gatherings in which selected internationally-focused faculty gather with students in an intimate setting to explore the faculty member’s cutting-edge research.
- Film Series: Monthly gatherings at which students screen a selected film highlighting international issues and discuss afterwards.
- IPSA’s signature event is the annual Spring Conference, one of Wagner’s largest and best-attended events of the year. The Spring Conference provides a forum for leading thinkers, practitioners, government officials, and academics to engage with NYU students and the New York City community on crucial issues within the context of global public service.
