USA at NYU's First Human Rights Conference...
The 1984 Sikh Genocide & The Universal Human Struggle For Justice
When: Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 9AM to 5PM
Where: Kimmel E&L Auditorium (4th Floor)
The mission of this conference is to raise awareness about the injustices committed against the Sikh community during the events of 1984 by engaging people of various backgrounds in a dialogue that will help us learn about the past, understand the present, and strive towards a better future as a global community.
Prominent Sikh scholars will holistically address this topic of historical importance with a goal of fostering constructive dialogue on how we can all work towards ending genocide and human rights abuses in the 21st century.

NYU Langar Event Feeds Nearly 450 Students and Faculty Members!
Our bi-annual Langar event reached a new record on October 12, 2009 by feeding nearly 450 students and faculty members on the 9th floor of Kimmel. A big thanks to all of the Sevadaars (volunteers) who helped make the event such a great success!
