Jeff Cheal

President

Jeff Cheal is a second-year student of the program. Originally from California, he moved to New York a year ago and dove head first into the branding industry here in Manhattan. He is bracing for tough classes such as finance this coming year, but also looks forward to reconnecting with all the classmates he has grown close to.

Itzel Morales

Vice President

Itzel Morales was born in Sonora, Mexico. In 2006, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in New Media Publishing/Digital Media from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently a designer at the NYU-TV Channel and is very involved in a number of community outreach projects. She enjoys international travel, languages, painting and early morning spin classes!

Todd Hanlon

Webmaster

Todd Hanlon has a background in the arts and a wide range of talents. He has had the chance to learn from the best as a socialite growing up in downtown Manhattan. Despite its birth almost 20 years ago, the World Wide Web is still a rapidly developing form of new media. Throughout college, he has studied the convergence of new and old media, emphasizing the adaptation of foreign cultures and the emergence of small business as a competitor to large corporations.

Tanya Caldwell

Student Council Representative

Tanya Caldwell is a former journalist (Los Angeles Times, Orlando Sentinel) who’s interested in management and exploring creative communication technology. This semester marks the Floridian’s second year at NYU and the beginning of her first year as a New York City public school teacher. She hopes to combine what she learns at NYU with how her students use current technology in order to develop effective, innovative communication technologies for the future.

Jaime Sliker

Treasurer

Jaime Sliker is from Hamilton, NJ. She got her BFA in Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing from The College of New Jersey. She is a self-confessed candy addict, loves all things purple, and reads about 15 books a year now that she commutes to NYU. She currently works as a graphic designer in the in-house Communications department of an international architectural engineering firm, HDR CUH2A.

Katy Lin

Secretary

Katy has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communications Design from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a freelance designer who has a strong interest in print design, packaging design and branding. When she is not busy with creative projects, she enjoys baking cupcakes, running, rock climbing and exploring New York City.
