Fellow Conservatives,
Greetings and welcome to the New York University College Republicans homepage, the number one resource for information on campaigns, issues, upcoming events, meetings, and general information regarding NYU's most prominent club.
The NYU College Republicans are perhaps the most publicized and influential group of students on any American campus. This club's members have appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, FOXNews, BBC, NHK, and many more networks. The club has been published in the New York Times, The New York Post, Daily News, The Sun Times, Rolling Stone magazine, New York University's own Washington Square News, and everywhere in between. From challenging the political bias imposed upon us in the classroom to leading the nationwide charge against amnesty, we spread a powerful message of independence and social responsibility absent from much of NYU and the perceptions of our peers. Our group enjoys a wide variety of membership from all races, religions and backgrounds. Unlike other politically motivated student groups on campus, we do not attempt to brainwash our members with talking points. We are a club alive with independent thought and debate, steeped in the tradition of the Republican principles that have propelled this nation to be a beacon of human rights and freedom the world knows today.
If you are a Conservative or Republican, I encourage you to attend our weekly meetings and enjoy some respite from the weekly grind of liberal professors and left-wing activists that infest our classrooms. If you consider yourself a Moderate or Independent, I encourage you to attend our weekly meetings to gain an understanding of how Republican principles uphold our freedoms, preserve the tradition of our independence, and combat big government. And finally, if you are a Liberal or Democrat, I encourage you to attend our weekly meetings and make up your mind about your politics; do not allow talking points to dictate your views.
I encourage all to get involved in our club. Though the 2008 election has passed, the club still stands by the above principles, and encourages discussion and promotion of these ideas even in the face of this most recent national defeat.
I look forward to seeing all of you at our events, socials, and weekly meetings that occur every Thursday from 6pm-7pm in Kimmel 808.
Sincerely,
William H. Williams, II
President
