- Major:
- Year: Junior

- Email: rkr232@nyu.edu
- Ritesh Ramchandani is a Junior at the Stern School of Business double majoring in Finance andEconomics. He has been a MUNer since high school where he served on the E-board of his high school Model UN Team for two years. Having attended many conferences over the years and represented numerous countries with a myriad of topics, Ritesh has a deep respect for the United Nations and its purpose in today's modern world. The need for a forum of discussion and a collective need for action in the 21st century is unprecendented, and the UN works to fulfill this goal. There are a fair share of criticisms to the UN's effectiveness and authority in our global society which are perfectly valid, yet the UN is deeply commendable for its humanatarian and economic assistance to underpriveleged parts of the world. Also, Ritesh thinks that NYU MUN will continue to make its mark on the college Model UN circuit and this year will be something to watch out for!
- As President, Ritesh will call all meetings of the Membership, regular or otherwise, and will serve as the chairman of such meetings. In addition, he will, with the advice of the Executive Committee, plan and coordinate the events to be sponsored by the Organization in forthcoming terms; with the Treasurer, prepare and present an annual budget request to the All-Square Student Budget Allocation Committee (ASSBAC), and will in all events serve as a liaison with ASSBAC, SAB and OSA. The President also acts as Head Delegate at Team Conferences and is responsible for the preparation of delegates leading up to these conferences. - After being a part of my high school's Model UN team for three years, I joined NYU MUN in my freshman year and had the opportunity to attend my first college conference that spring. I found the level of debate and the topics discussed to be much more challenging but also far more interesting. Although international relations is not directly a part of my Gallatin concentration, so many global issues affect our everyday lives, which often catch my interest. This will be my second year as your treasurer and I hope to continue on with our growth and success from this past year.
