Contributor Biographies

Maureen Andary is a second year English and politics double major, focusing in
comparative politics and creative writing. If you're a writer, she highly
recommends falling in love with songwriters and/or people who enjoy exotic foods.

Katy Ball is glad that she represents the everyman. "I'm all about cosed povers"
she says.

Siobhan Ciminera likes poetry and Comedy Central and dislikes people who take
themselves too seriously. Tattoo! At this point, Siobhan broke up with herself, but
we have it on good authority that she thinks the world is arbitrary.

Steve Dube has a secret crush on you, but not in a weird way or anything. He
does, however, stare at the back of your head a lot during class and sometimes
groans a little when you walk in from outside in that one sexy coat you wear that
makes you look like Ani DiFranco. He's also written several poems about you,
but don't worry, he's so skillful you'll never recognize yourself in between the
references to stale pizza, tampons, and WB shows.

Emily Dufton is fond of Kurt Vonnegut.

Arianna Georgi is glad to be known as the editor of the Minetta Review who
shifted the magazine's focus from poetry to drinking. She would like to thank the
staff of the Minetta for providing her with some good laughs. She would like to
thank her mother for a lot of things but feels weird doing it right after mentioning
drinking. She would also like to wish Steve, Maureen, Lindsay and that freshman
girl the best of luck next year without her. You're going to need it, losers.

Will Juseck is a sophomore. He has published writing in the West 4th Street
Review.

Tao Lin was born in Virginia, and his parents were born in Taiwan. It's important
where people are born. Tao enjoys activities that lead him to believe that life is
good, but he also enjoys small, fleeting pleasures that leave him feeling
meaningless and primitive afterwards. It's important what people enjoy. Tao is a
sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences and is majoring in psychology or
journalism. Categories are important.

Kate Lobosco's publicist apologizes and says that Kate is too busy to attend the
bio-writing lunch. Instead she provides us with some useful information for
writing the bio. She says that when describing Kate and her poetry, most people
find the words "stunning," "intelligent" and "stylish" useful. We think this is true,
but we also think it is a little weird that Kate Lobosco's publicist looks so much
like Kate Lobosco.

Luis Amate Perez didn't want a biography.

Amira Pierce really digs living with two cats, a relatively new situation for her.
Some might say, she's in love.

Christina Ranon is heading for parts unknown after graduating from the College of
Arts and Sciences this May. She is planning on writing shameless commercial
fiction when she has the time. To support this habit: law school. Or publishing.

Lindsay R. is glad to be returning to Broadway with a starring role in I Know
Why the Caged Bird Sings… and Dances!!! (A Maya Angelou Musical
Extravaganza). You may also recognize her from such films as The Professional
(Slut) and Sex Wars Episode II (Attack of the Sexy Clones), in which she gained
wide critical acclaim as the best Natalie Portman porn star lookalike to come along
in years.

Mike Rosch knows what you did this summer. He also knows what you did last
summer. He wants the Minetta staff to know that he sees and hears all but also that
he is too nice to ever do anything about it.
