Halava (Everyone's Favorite Dessert) 1 cup farina (cream of wheat) 1/2 cup butter 11/2 cups water 1 cup sugar handful golden raisins, or dates, or frozen blueberries or whatever you want. 1. Mix water and sugar and bring to a boil. 2. Melt butter in a pan. Toss in grains, stirring constantly at a low heat for 20-25 minutes until golden in color. 3. Add grain by single spoonfuls to water and sugar, which should be simmering. When all grain is added, toss in whatever fixings you decided on and keep on fire for 2 or 3 minutes, stirring continuously. Remove and serve hot.
