Prizes for 2009 Homecoming King/Queen
Homecoming King/Queen Crown, Homecoming King/Queen Banner, $500 towards a Kaplan course, Queen receives a bouquet and King receives a poker set!
Homecoming King and Queen Rules and Regulations:
• All King and Queen contestants must be full-time, currently enrolled
NYU student and be sponsored by an NYU organization.
• Each organization can sponsor ONE King contestant and ONE Queen
contestant.
• The Homecoming Court will consist of 5 King Contestants and 5
Queen Contestants.
• If selected to be on the Homecoming Court, contestants must be able
to attend:
o A pre-Homecoming meeting on Sunday September 27th
o Be available during Homecoming weekend October 2nd – 4th
• Members of the Court will be asked for a short bio and a photograph.
This photograph and bio will be used to promote Homecoming and
appear on (but not limited to) the Homecoming fliers, website, and
blog.
• Members of the Court will be provided with Promotional Fliers to
pick up and distribute with display their likeness as well as access to a
Facebook Group to campaign for the title.
o No other campaigning is allowed.
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO ANY OF THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS
WILL RESULT IN YOUR IMMEDIATE DISQUALIFICATION.
Time Table of Events:
September 11th: All Applications are Due
• All Packets must be turned into the Homecoming Mailbox (#269) located behind the kiosk area on the 7th floor of Kimmel by September 8th or emailed to nyuhomecoming@gmail.com
September 14th: Five Queen Contestants and Five King Contestants will be Announcedas the Homecoming Court.
September 18th: Court Pick up Promotional Fliers
September 27th: Homecoming Meeting
October 2nd: Appearance at the Bash (9pm -12am) Voting
October 3rd: Voting at the Carnival (1pm - 5pm) Crowning of the King and Queen (4pm)
