About Us | GSCN Officers | Events

The Graduate Students of Color Network was founded in 1998 by a group of students who felt the need to build a greater sense of community amongst all graduate students of color from every program and department in the NYU community. This created a forum where students could express and address the unique concerns and ideas of people of color.

The mission of the GSCN is to meet the needs of graduate students by providing a network of resources, a place for empowerment in which members can become involved within the organization as well as in NYU to develop personally and professionally. As such, the GSCN seeks to provide enriching and fulfilling opportunities for graduate students to enhance and further their career goals, empower each other, become activists for their beliefs and socialize with others.
