As your shadow begins to fade,

The light in my heart dims.

Memories of our past flashes by,

Bringing back hardships and joy.

Where has time gone?

Where has it escaped to?

Tears of regret stream down face,

As I realize you will never be near again.

As I lie in my deep slumber,

You crept in and took a peek,

Without a word but only a kiss,

You quietly left the room.

As the door gently clicks shut,

A single tear slowly rolls down my cheek.

I will never get to say goodbye again,

Only left with a deep remorse in my heart.
