What can happen on your campus?...

Yellow Technicolor 2000 Tour

An Asiatic Fusion Of Hip Hop And Spoken Word

Two Chicago-based groups, panAsian spoken word poetry troupe, "I WAS BORN WITH TWO TONGUES," and Filipino emcees, the "PACIFICS," combine to bring you the future voice of Asian America with their unique one and a half hour show, in which they have fully integrated their sets into one continuous flow of emotions. Embraced in culture and laced with a message for social change, this collaboration gives cry to the issues facing our young... through word, sound and power. Both groups can also be found with tracks on the new AsianAvenue.com "Plugged in 2" CD Compilation. I WAS BORN WITH TWO TONGUES I Was Born With Two Tongues is a Chicago based panAsian spoken word group, an exercise in communication, and the sound of four brains knocking together.

Yellow Technicolor Tour has hit the West Coast and central USA, and is making its way to the East Coast to perform their one-of-a-kind show on select college campuses on the East Coast. For more information on 2TONGUES and/or PACIFICS, contact Jona Mercado, Manager: jona@2tongues.com

What's happening on other college campuses?
A highlight of activities and events going on non-NYU colleges and college communities
Compiled by Man Yee Chan & Elaine Gee, staff writers

Opening events to students from other universities is the first step in creating an intercollegiate Asian community. Individual student organizations benefit from the ability to reach a larger audience and to tap into the support system afforded by an intercollegiate Asian community. The A/P/A community as a whole benefits from the exchange of ideas and the ability to mobilize resulting from the establishment of relationships between organizations. So, get involved. Get active.
