Meeting Minutes

Auditions for the Laramie Project are this Sunday (9/30) at Third North from 1pm to 4pm. You HAVE to email us if you’re coming, you won’t be able to get in if you don’t!

Other ways to get involved are joining our committees which are explained in our notes below. (You can join committees and be involved in the show if you want to!)

The notes from our first meeting are posted below:

Workshop Possibilities:

•One with the Neofuturists that put on Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind.

•An acting workshop

•A miming workshop

We had interested in the above workshops so we're going to have several committees to help out with planning different things (one for workshops).

If you're interested in being on the workshop committee please email me and we'll get everything sorted!

We also talked about possibly doing some time at a school where we would do some basic theatre education or work-shopping.

For this and other community service opportunities we're going to have a committee for this as well, email be about it :)

We discussed possibly having donation based tickets for our shows (or some of them) or possibly asking for donations to specific charities at the end of the shows.

Then we talked about fund raisers, and possibly doing sining telegrams / quartets or something similar for Valentines day.

We're going to be having a committee to help work on fund raisers too, so if you're interested, you should know what to do by now.

Also discussed having a one act festival where we have people write a bunch of one act plays and put them all up in a day.

We could do this for GAF which is the Gallatin Arts Festival (also need other ideas for this) It's put on in the Spring and it took a hiatus last year to be restructured from the ground up so it could be pretty amazing and we could help.

We talked about doing scenes or monologues at some point as well.

We also talked about possibly going to shows, such as Slava's Snow Show (if possible), Cirque Du Soleil, Big Apple Circus and Blue Man Group.

We're creating a committee for outings too, so if you're interested in helping to organize something like this, email me!

We also decided that general meetings once a month sound good, and we'll probably stick with the Wednesday time or something around it.
