Campus Crusade for Christ is a small fellowship at NYU that seeks to deepen the faith of their students and to encourage them to reach out to those around them. Our mission statement is: "NYU CRU exists to offer a safe, welcoming community that encourages students to come as they are, explore and experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ, and be empowered to share that love with others."
We meet every Thursday night from 7-9, normally in Kimmel 903. We also offer small groups for men and women and encourage and help students to find a church that is suited to them. We plan various social events that help our members get to know each other in a deeper way. We also encourage students to get involved with discipleship. We are mainly a student run fellowship, but with occasional help from a staff member from Campus Crusade
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." Colossians 3:12-17, our theme verse
