Welcome to the NYU China Care Website!

Founded in Autumn of 2005, NYU China Care is an independent, student run community service-based club at New York University, and a recognized China Care Club under the China Care Foundation, Inc. We stand for the advancement of orphaned children in China by raising funds and awareness for life-saving surgeries and much-needed supplies.

Throughout the year, we fundraise for these projects through many types of events including bake sales, fashion shows, benefit concerts, and community outreach events. We also send our love to the China Care children through our pen-pal program, where students make cards and write letters to the children.

This year, we hope to begin the first year of our China Care Dumplings program, a program that helps build a bond between adopted Chinese children and their birth country, as well as fosters a sense of community among families. We hope that you will join hands with us in our endeavor to create a better life for the orphans of China.

Ming is a six month old boy who was abandoned in Shanxi province with club feet; meaning that his feet were turned inward and downward and in need of correction. For this procedure, a treatment of casting and foot braces is used to gently move the feet into the correct position. NYU’s China Care Club raised $800 to fund his casting and braces. As of today, Ming has finished his successful casting process and is now wearing leg braces. We send all of our best wishes to Ming!
