Bake Sale Success

We raised the final $200 necessary to fund the oximeter, and it is currently in use at a China Care orphanage. Great job, everyone!

Bake Sale

Let's work hard Thursday, November 29th to make that final $200 to buy that oximeter! More details to follow!

Bake @ Amanda's - Baking Strikes Back

We're having a Bake-Off at Amanda's. It's on Wednesday, November 28th at 6PM! Amanda's appartment is 1 Astor Pl, Apt PHF (Penthouse F) - it's right above the Gap, on the corner of Broadway.

Rhythm for Life Concert

For those who didn't come, you missed an amazing event. Rhythm for Life featured the musical talents of 5 amazing groups. First was the talented Chris Frank, who wooed the crowd with his humor and guitar stylings. Next up was Smoke Radio, a folk-jazz duo who set the mood with intracate rhythms and a voice reminiscent of Astrud Gilberto. At 10, the Haverford College Outskirts and Mass Transit performed revitalized old classics with a youthful beat and an acapella twist. NyelLee 'rapped' up the evening with some fresh rhymes. We'd like to thank a few groups for their contributions, specifically the lovely ladies of Kappa Psi Delta, Julie's and ThinkCoffee for their food contributions, and everyone who showed up to support NYU China Care!

All in all, we managed to raise $400 for an oximeter, whose purpose is to monitor childrens' heart functionality to ensure that sick children don't pass overnight.
