About

Atheists Agnostics & Freethinkers is an official student club at New York University. Our primary goal is to provide an open forum for the discussion of a wide range of controversial topics of philosophical, social and political interest. Our secondary goal is to raise awareness of various issues related to atheism, agnosticism, secular humanism and "freethought." We have weekly discussion meetings at the Kimmel Center, bring in speakers and hold various all-square events periodically throughout the year.

AAF does not promote any one absolute view on any of the topics we discuss. We are open to (almost) all takes on any issue and we welcome people of all faiths to join in our discussions. We like debate--it's hard to keep an interesting dialogue within the group if nobody disagrees with anybody else on anything. Luckily, so far, we haven't had that problem. If you have any questions about the group, contact one of the officers or, better yet, attend one of the weekly meetings to get a feel for who we are and what we're about. We hope to see you soon!
