About the Film:
Ending AIDS: The Search for a Vaccine is the complex and compelling story of one of the greatest scientific and technological challenges ever: the search for an AIDS vaccine.
Ending AIDS transforms the intricacies and jargon of science into a terrifically lucid, fast-paced study of technology and human initiative at their outer limits. From sex workers in Nairobi who don't contract HIV to monkeys with SIV at Harvard, every discovery seems to hold the key. But none has yet unlocked the secret of HIV's seemingly unlimited ability to evade detection and defeat our bodies' defenses. At its core, Ending AIDS is a mystery without a villain and a rallying cry to get behind the search once again. For more information, visit www.endingaids.org

Admissions Criteria - Googled? The National Association of Colleges and Employers recently released results of a poll done on their employer members who "Googled" prospective employees or checked their profiles on social networking sites (Facebook, MySpace). Now since they're poll was restricted to employer members, my question to you is this: Do premeds have to look forward to being "Googled" as apart of the medical school admissions process? For any of you involved with admissions committees, is this a process used or plan to be used to screen those on-the-border candidates? People (including AMSA) have been making the push to try to get away from solely looking at MCAT and GPA in admissions criteria, so if those other things come into play, would that open the gate for admissions committees to use any and all information they can find?
What about for residencies or jobs after medical schools?
