AAWA presents the Asian American Women Career Panel on March 13, 2008. We have invited financial services and health care professionals to share their experiences about their respective professions. Come join us for a Q&A session to learn valuable information about bridging cultural gaps, networking, and internship opportunities. All are welcome regardless of gender or ethnicity. Snacks and refreshments will be served.

Rhodora Ursua works at the Center for the Study of Asian American Health (CSAAH) at the NYU School of Medicine. At the Center, she serves as the Director of Project AsPIRE (Asian American Partnerships in Research and Empowerment), a community-based participatory research project that aims to improve health access and heart health status among Filipino-Americans in New York City and New Jersey. She is also a co-founder of Kalusugan Coalition, Inc., a multidisciplinary coalition dedicated to creating a unified voice to improve the health of the Filipino American community in the New York/New Jersey area through network and resource development, educational activities, research, community action, and advocacy. Rhodora also oversees the Center Student Investigator (CSI) Program at CSAAH where she helps provide students opportunities to gain research experience in Asian American health disparities. She received a Masters in Public Health at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with a focus in Population and Family Health.
