Yep. Back from India
Melissa and I avoided all forms of illness in India. Then Air France gave me food poisoning on the flight from Paris to Newark. I am moving slowly today.
One consistent question that Indians asked us: "How could Bush have won?"
Another one: "How can you love America so much?"
These are hard questions. Sivacracy readers have some idea of the answers.
As to the second, consider that when we emerged from Newark Airport I took a deep breath and took pleasure in the cleanliness of the air ... in NEW JERSEY.
This country has many problems. But the environmental problems of the rest of the world are stiffling and alarming. At least we have clean air ... for now.
