This building opened as the Erlanger Theatre in 1927 and cost $1.5 million to erect at that time.
It was renamed in 1932 and renovated in 1958.
Its main entrance is through wide doors to a spacious marble lobby that extends across the whole building.
It is owned by the Jujamcyn organization and was the first theatre they acquired when they got it from the Shuberts in 1957.
It seats 1623 people.
Past Productions include: Oklahoma and The King and I.
Current production is The Producers.
