The Royale Theatre

242 West 45th Street

The Royale opened in 1927. However, in 1934, the theater was renamed The Golden. Shortly thereafter the Shubert Organization returned to the original 'Royale' name. This theater is considered the finest mid-sized theater on Broadway and gets its pick of plays. Housing 1,068 patrons, this theater creates an intimate atmosphere without being small. Orchestra seats are considered sublime as are those in the mezzanine.

Past Productions include: The Boyfriend, The Matchmaker, Cactus Flower, Lend Me a Tenor, and Moon Over Buffalo.

Current production is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
