The Richard Rodgers' Theater, located on the south side of 46th Street, opened in 1924 and is the neighbor of the famous Marriott Marquis.
Owned by the Nederlanders, the theater changed its name, from the 46th Street Theater, to its present title, after the great composer.
The theater's 1,400 seats are configured with a break in the orchestra behind row H, which creates the effect of being seated in the mezzanine;
while the balcony and mezzanine are located further up.
Past Productions include: DuBarry Was a Lady, Finians's Rainbow, Guys and Dolls, Damn Yankees, I Do! I Do!, 1776, Chicago, Lost in Yonkers, and Side Show.
Current production is Seussical the Musical.
