The Minskoff Theatre

200 West 45th Street

Named after high rise builder and owner, Sam Minskoff, this theatre was built on the site of the old Astor Hotel. At present, it is owned and operated by the Nederlanders. It was the first New York theater to be fully accessible to the handicapped. The Minskoff's revolutionary multiple escalators take patrons to all upper levels. The glass mezzanine lobby overlooks Times Square, and its foyer is quite grand. However, due to its huge size (seating 1,685 patrons), it's considered one of Broadway's coldest theaters.

Past Productions include: Irene, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Current production is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
