Gene Barry, born June 14, 1919 in New York City, is famous for his career in movies, television and theatre. Barry has starred in multiple television series and over 20 films including War of the Worlds (1953). Barry has also appeared in over 30 stage shows, including Bye, Bye Birdie!, Fiddler on the Roof, and of course, La Cage Aux Folles. He won a Golden Globe in 1964 and was nominated for a Tony for Best Actor in La Cage Aux Folles in 1984. |
| George Hearn won Tony Awards for his
performances in Sunset Boulevard and La Cage aux Folles.
His other Broadway credits include Sweeney Todd, I Remember
Mama, Ah, Wilderness!, A Doll's Life (Tony
nomination), The Changing Room, and Watch on the Rhine (Tony
nomination). He won an Emmy Award for the TV version of "Sweeney
Todd" and has appeared on numerous other television shows. His
film credits include The Vanishing, Sneakers and The
Devil's Own. Here, he is seen in The Diary of Anne Frank
on Broadway with Rachel Miner and Natalie Portman. |
