This website looks into the original Broadway productions of Torch Song Trilogy and   La Cage Aux Folles, while simultaneously peering into the gay "climate" of the early 1980's. It examines differences, such as the two artistic forms (play vs. musical), as well as similarities, such as the involvement of Harvey Fierstein and their embodiment of homosexual and heterosexual themes.
