This site was created for the student who was told to read The Comedy of Errors in two weeks and two weeks has since become 8 hours until first period English. Well, forget about 8 hours, this site will trim that down to about half an hour.
If you are truly a slacker student, much like I was, you will skip directly to Bill & Ted's Comedy of Errors. This is a fairly straightforward modern day translation of Shakespeare's antiquated English. Just a note however: Shakespeare was actually a pretty smart fellow. He told some pretty funny jokes and used some rather clever puns. In translating most of these to a modern vernacular, what was funny in Shakespeare's version, has become rather obnoxious in the translation. Additionally, some things were so outdated, that if you happen to read the real play one day, you'll realize that I modified a few of the references to make it more fitting.
Now, if you are somewhat more committed to your studies, you may want to check out the Shakespeare vs. Bill & Ted page. On the left hand side is a copy of Shakespeare's text. On the right hand side, is the modern translation. This is the heart of the Bill & Ted Excellent Comedy of Errors Website. This page was painstakingly created by copying each line of text into a table so that both versions of the text would match up. You can thank me for this later.
