Terrence McNally wrote the book for the musicals The Full Monty, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, and Ragtime. He has won four Tony Awards (Ragtime, 1998; Master Class, 1996; Love! Valour! Compassion!, 1995; and Kiss of the Spiderwoman, 1993) McNally has also written Corpus Christi; A Perfect Ganesh; Lips Together, Teeth Apart; The Lisbon Traviata; It's Only a Play; Bad Habits; The Ritz; And Things That Go Bump in the Night; Where Has Tommy Flowers Gone?; and Next. He has received an Emmy Award, two Guggenheim Fellowships, a Rockefeller Grant, a Lucille Lortel Award, and a citation from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
