Write what it was like for you to come out of the closet. Recapture the anxiety, the torment, the hilarity, and ultimately the beauty of being true to YOU. Tell us about how your favorite actor or singer made it OK to be gay. Tell us about when you finally told your mom or tell us about how you wish to come out but feel you can't. Hearing what others have been through actively changes the way the world views gay people and makes the process of saying those three words, "I am gay," profoundly easier for those who follow. Feel free to write a sentence, a paragraph, ten pages. Feel free to be anonymous or not. Just know that you are one of many, a community that is here for one reason, that reason is love.
We applaud the right to love whomever you choose. We appreciate the priviledge to stand up in front of the world and profess that love. Just know that life is good, things will get easier, and every single person on this website (including you) is making that so.
