What's going on in your unconscious?

RORSCHACH AND THE INK BLOT TEST

For information on Rorschach's life and work click on picture.

Hermann Rorschach invented the inkblot technique for uncovering the unconscious.  Rorschach was a Swiss psychiatrist who used the perception of unstructured forms of ink as a diagnostic tool.  There were ten symmetrical blots that he used. Five were colored and five were black and white.  When the patients were asked what they saw in the inkblots, their answers seemed to differ depending upon the diagnostic group to which they belonged.  I would have like to have included examples of the ink blots, however, they are confidential and not available to the general public.
