"TRADITIONAL" HOMEWORK PROBLEMS

The assigned homework problems listed below are from Chemistry: The Molecular Nature of Matter and Change, 5th Ed., by Martin S. Silberberg (and do not match with the 4th Ed.). These assignments must be turned in at your recitation class on the dates listed. The due dates are selected to ensure that you have more than 24 hours between the end of the lecture(s) on a given chapter and the recitation at which the corresponding assignment is due. Be aware, however, that a quiz on the early part of a chapter may take place before the homework due date! Quiz topics may include material from any lecture up to, but not including, the lecture for the day before a recitation. ALSO, REMEMBER TO COMPLETE THE CURRENT ARIS HOMEWORK ON-LINE (ARIS due dates and "traditional" homework due dates will generally differ).

Late homeworks will not be accepted.
Medical/religious excuses do NOT apply to homework.

Numerical answers to most problems will be available in the "Homework Answers" section of this webpage shortly before each due date. If we fall behind schedule in the lectures, homework due dates might be extended. Consult THIS assignment page for the latest homework due dates.
