New York Area Worm Meeting:
The NYAWM is held 2-3 times/year to facilitate exchange
between area laboratories using C. elegans and closely related nematodes
in their research.
The meetings consist of refreshments (usually pizza)
followed by 3-4 talks of 20-25 minutes in length.
Meetings are currently held in the
Weiss
Research building Room 305
on the Rockefeller University campus
at 6:30 pm.
- Limited parking is available (please contact Shai Shaham for details – see email address below)
- Announcements for each meeting are sent to area labs several weeks prior to an upcoming
meeting. To be included on the list or to request a talk for the upcoming
meeting, please contact Cathy Savage-Dunn.
- Information for presenters: a projector will be
available for powerpoint presentations. Please provide your own computer.
- Sponsors for the meetings in the past were drawn from area companies and academic departments. Now we ask for a nominal fee to cover expenses.
If you have ideas for how to sponsor a meeting, please contact Jane Hubbard or Shai Shaham.
- If a C. elegans talk is scheduled at your area
institution, please inform Cathy Savage-Dunn so that community can be notified.
- Any other comments or inquiries can be sent to the co-organizers.
Thanks!
