New York Area Worm Meeting:
The NYAWM is held 2-3 times/year to facilitate exchange
between area laboratories using C. elegans and closely related nematodes
in their research.
The meetings consist of 3-4 talks of 20-25 minutes in length and refreshments.
Starting November 2008, meetings will be held at
The New York Academy of Sciences
at 6:30 pm

- Announcements for each meeting are sent to area labs several weeks prior to an upcoming
meeting. To be included on the list or to request a talk for the upcoming
meeting, please contact Cathy Savage-Dunn.
- Information for presenters: a projector will be
available for powerpoint presentations. Please provide your own computer.
- Sponsors for the meetings in the past were drawn from area companies and academic departments.
If you have ideas for how to sponsor a meeting or people who may be interested in establishing a small foundation to keep the meetings happening in perpetuity, please contact Jane Hubbard or Shai Shaham.
- If a C. elegans talk is scheduled at your area
institution, please inform Cathy Savage-Dunn so that community can be notified.
