Lubricious Transfer was performed April 15th and 16th, 2005 as a collaborative work choreographed by Ben Munisteri as part of the Spring Concert of the Dance Education Program at NYU.
As described by Munisteri, "lubricious" has the double meaning of wet and salacious, acknowledging the human body as water, salt, and carbon, and through chemical processes we generate electricity. Even as our cells are transferring materials and energy throughout the body, through electricity and Internet II, we transfer images and sounds as expressive manifestations of ourselves and our ideas coalescing in the "body" of collaborative cyberspace
