THE AENEAS ADVENTURE
Aeneas recounting his adventures to Dido

Aeneas is a multimedia collaboration performed in Italy in July, 2000. From this project, we established a collaboration with the European Institute of Design in Rome, which developed a film based on the music of the concert. The film was created by the Director of the Institute, Luigi Vernieri, and his associates.

The Aeneas Project is an extension of The Cassandra Project which was a multimedia internet collaboration resulting in a number of productions. Aeneas was the deepest and long abiding love of Cassandra that sustained her through her imprisonment.

Aeneas could be regarded as the creator of the modern world, the figure that bridges the antiquity of Homer to found a new world order in Italy, which ultimately becomes an empire that spreads civilization throughout the Western world.
