NYU Email: Activating SSL

For instructions on turning on SSL protection in your email program, visit http://www.nyu.edu/its/email/ssl/. 

 

Note that SSL is already activated for you if you are accessing your email by opening a web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox) and logging directly into NYUHome (http://home.nyu.edu).  However, if you use an email program like Outlook, Eudora or Thunderbird to access your NYU email, you need to manually activate the program's SSL feature, following the instructions at http://www.nyu.edu/email/ssl.
