What is my NYU Directory address? What e-mail address is published for me in the NYU Directory?Solution

If you are a student, your NYU Directory address is, by default, your NYUHome account address, NetID@nyu.edu. Note: Your email address is NOT published in the NYU Student Directory unless you have specifically chosen to have it listed.

For instructions on how to list yourself in the NYU Student Directory, please see http://www.nyu.edu/its/directory/.

If you wish to direct your email to a location other than your NYUHome account, you may set up forwarding to another account. Please see the instructions at http://www.nyu.edu/its/email/configure/nyuhome/#forward.

If you are a faculty or staff member, your NYU Directory address may be:

  • Your NYUHome address (NetID@nyu.edu)
  • Your business card alias (firstname.lastname@nyu.edu)
  • An email account on another NYU machine

To find out the NYU Directory address currently on record for you, check your listing in the NYU Public Directory at www.nyu.edu/search.nyu.

If you wish to change your NYU Directory address, log into NYUHome and select the Preferences link in the upper right-hand corner. Under the options for Your E-mail, choose the setting for "NYU Directory address:" and click the Edit link.

To choose a business card alias in the form of firstname.lastname@nyu.edu or to choose a personal address, please see our FAQ on Creating a Personal Address.
