Performance issues reported January 23, 2009 are now resolved. People logging into Blackboard should no longer encounter an 'Internal Server Error' message, intermittent difficulty connecting, and/or system slowness.
SolutionThe ITS Blackboard team has resolved the 'Internal Server' and other performance issues reported earlier.
Blackboard should be performing well for all clients at this time.

- Quit your browser and attempt to log-in again. (ITS will update this knowledge base item with additional workaround solutions as they become available.)
- Complete a Help Request ticket at http://www.nyu.edu/its/askits/contactus/ to help us diagnose and fix this problem.
Please choose 'System Errors' in the type-of-help-required drop-down list and provide as much of the following information as possible:- Whether this was an error or system slowness. If an error message was encountered, please try to include as much of the text of the error message as possible.
- Whether the words 'log-in' or 'newclasses' appeared in the address bar of the browser. The address bar is the place in which a web page address or URL is typed in order to visit a site and is generally located at the top of the browser window.
- The time the error occured.
- Whether it was experienced from an on-campus or off-campus location.
- The browser type (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari) and operating system (Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS X.
- What you were attempting to do when the error or slowness occured. If you were attempting to upload a file, please indicate the size of the file being uploaded.
