The Center for Catastrophe Preparedness and Response sponsored a roundtable discussion between New York business and the Department of Homeland Security’s Private Sector Office. This panel highlighted the challenges facing New York businesses in accessing homeland security information. To help address this need, CCPR staff, in conjunction with DHS, New York State and City governments, and New York business interests developed this web page to provide one stop shopping for homeland security information.

The Corporate Emergency Access System (CEAS)

This paper identifies three new business continuity objectives that have special importance in a post-September 11th environment.

The Department of Homeland Security’s Ready Campaign
The Department of Homeland Security’s Ready campaign is a national public service advertising campaign designed to educate and engage citizens to prepare for and respond to potential threats and emergencies. To learn more information about this program, visit their web page at www.ready.gov.
DHS also began a Spanish language version (www.Listo.gov) and plans to begin Ready for Business and Ready for Kids campaigns by the end of the year.
To help develop ways of better protect our critical infrastructures and to help minimize vulnerabilities, The Department of Homeland Security has established Information Sharing and Analysis Centers or ISAC's to allow critical sectors to share information and work together to help better protect the economy.
Information Sharing and Analysis Centers disseminate information intended to increase sector wide knowledge about physical and cyber security operating risks facing various industries including food, financial services, water, and electricity.
