Spring Baccalaureate Ceremony
The spring Baccalaureate Ceremony for Spring 2008 candidates will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2008 in the Theater at Madison Square Garden (32nd Street at 7th Avenue) at 11 AM. Students assemble no later than 10 AM. Doors open to guests at 10 AM. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
It is possible that the 2008 Baccalaureate will be moved to the Arena at Madison Square Garden. If this is the case, students will receive a notification email, and information on this website will be updated if and when it is confirmed that the Knicks or the Rangers are not using the Arena for a playoff game or practice session. Only once the Knicks and Rangers release their holds on the Arena can that space be reserved for the College's Ceremony. The unfortunate fact is that we will not know this until mid-late April 2008.
Invitation Eligibility
Invitations for the CAS Spring 2008 Baccalaureate are mailed to students who are candidates to graduate in Spring 2008. Only those students who are enrolled in classes in the Spring 2008 semester are guaranteed to participate in the Spring 2008 ceremony. A Baccalaureate was held on December 3, 2007 for September and January 2008 graduates. Invitations will be mailed in early April to the permanent and local addresses on record. Please note: if you have moved or your permanent address has changed, you must inform the University Registrar as soon as possible. May candidates must apply for graduation using Torchtone, (212) 995-4SIS/4747, by February 1st in order to receive an invitation.
If you have not received your invitation, please verify your address at the University Registrar's Office located on the 1st Floor at 25 W. 4th Street.
Please visit the Registrar's Website for information regarding graduation application deadlines.
