Admissions and Application Information
Our program is designed for those students who have not taken any of the prerequisite prehealth science courses as undergraduates (i.e., "career changers"). Students who have taken a number of sciences and need an "academic record-enhancer" postbaccalaureate program should consult the AAMC's list of Postbaccalaureate Premedical Programs, which is updated annually.
Please note that we are unable to accept applications from persons who do not currently hold a Bachelor's degree. Please do not send your application until you have your final transcript that shows your degree earned. Your application will not be considered without proof of your degree. Please note that successful candidates have a minimum GPA of a 3.0.
Our application requires an online submission, but we also require supporting materials (transcripts, a letter of recommendation) as well as an application fee to be mailed to us in order to complete your application.
Our address is:
NYU College of Arts & Science Preprofessional Center

Because we have far more applicants than we could possibly accept, we regret that we are unable to meet with you personally before you are admitted to our program.

For students interested in starting the program in the Spring semester
Please note: Our science courses are two-part sequences that begin in the fall and continue into the spring. The exception is General Chemistry I, which is offered in both fall and spring semesters. Precalculus, Calculus I, and a number of English courses are also offered in the spring. The full sequences are also offered over the summer.
