In keeping with NYU’s speaking freely global mission, a program called NYU Speaking Freely offers students the opportunity (at no charge) to learn a language in an informal setting outside of the classroom at various campus locations. These sessions provide excellent preparation for study abroad programs, and currently include Arabic, Cantonese, Czech, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swahili. It’s currently one of the College’s most popular extra-curricular activities.
