Questions about the program

What is the advantage to this program over a four year engineering degree?
This program is intended for students who want a broad based, liberal-arts oriented science education coupled with a technical degree. In addition to the inherent benefits of such a program, potential employers and graduate schools find such a background very attractive.
What degrees will I get and when?
At the end of five years, a graduating student is awarded a B.S. from NYU and a B.E. from Stevens. There are two diplomas and two graduation ceremonies.

Questions about admissions and scholarships

Are special scholarships available for engineering students? When are they awarded?
Yes, the Franklin and Margaret White Scholarship and the Martin W. Witte Memorial Scholarship. Please contact the program advisors for more information.
When I applied to NYU I checked the enginerring program box. I recently was informed that I was admitted to NYU. What do I have to do to get into the program?
If you checked the engineering box on your admissions application, then admission to NYU means you were admitted to the program. Please see the engineering advisors during freshman orientation to discuss your program.
I have been admitted to NYU without applying to the dual degree program (or I am already a student at NYU, not in the program). Is it possible for me to enter the program now?
It is posible to enter the program as an enrolled NYU student. However, the program has a very tight schedule and the longer you wait the harder it will be to fulfill its requirements. Please contact the program advisors to see if it is possible for you to transfer into it.
