Guide to Wasserman Center for Career Development Alumni Services
The NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development (The Center) is committed
to assisting NYU alumni (graduates with an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's,
or Doctoral degree) with their career planning needs. Whether you are beginning
to change careers, seeking to advance in your chosen field, or searching for
a career direction, The Center is an excellent place to start. Alumni can benefit
from a wide range of available services.
Free Job Listings for Alumni
The NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development is excited to announce a new free Alumni Job Search service accessible via our website. It is necessary for you to log in and register to use the system. Just follow the instructions below:
- Go to www.nyu.edu/careerdevelopment.
Click on the "NYU CareerNet" link on the main menu bar.
- If you already registered on NYU CareerNet, then in the "User Login" section, enter your email address for "Username" and your most recent NYU CareerNet password for "Password".
- Next, you may be prompted to complete a user profile if more information is needed. Once you have completed your profile, you will be able to access the "NACElink Alumni Network" link on the "home" page of the new NYU CareerNet system under the "Jobs" button in the top menu bar.
If you would like to maximize your job search, additional NYU CareerNet job
listings geared to more recent alumni are also available to NYU alumni via the
"Jobs" button on the "home" page. Please see the information regarding the NYU
CareerNet alumni package (fees apply) as well as other Center services below.

Alumni Packages
The following Alumni Services Packages are available with proof of graduation
(a copy of NYU diploma or transcript).
*Alumni are defined as graduates who completed their NYU degree(s) more than
one year ago.
Printable Application Form
NYU CareerNet access for 3 months - $75
In addition to the free Alumni Job Search, many more job listings are available
to NYU alumni via NYU CareerNet. This is an amazing opportunity for
you to maximize your employment search. You will have immediate access to new
jobs, day or night. The system also allows you to store and upload multiple
resumes for different career fields.
Center/walk-ins access for 3 months - $75
Access to the Center includes use of our career resource center which contains
career literature, videotapes, resource directories, and “how-to” guides
for use during office hours. Computers and laser printers are available for
preparing resumes and cover letters. A self-serve fax machine is also located
in the center for prompt communication with employers. The Center will now
feature a Graduate and Alumni Suite.
Walk-in hours are 5-minute sessions for resume and cover letter critiques,
as well as quick career-related questions. Call the office or visit our website
for hours.
Counseling Packages
Schedule a 45-minute appointment with a career counselor to discuss strategies for determining your
career and job-search goals. The counselor and alumnus/a can work together to assess interests and
skills, identify career options, prepare a resume and cover letter, and address any career-related
concerns. The counseling package includes access to The Center and walk-ins (see above for details).
∗ ONE counseling appointment + 3 months center/walk-ins access: $125 ∗
Alumni are required to pay for their counseling package on the day of their appointment at the
reception desk. Proof of graduation would be required, and an alumni appointment card would be
issued from The Center, noting an expiration date. This card must be presented to the reception
staff to access The Center.
Additional Counseling Appointments
∗ Additional appointments can be scheduled with a $50 fee for each additional session,
to be paid on the day of the follow-up appointment. ∗
