Welcome Week

City Year is a non-profit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to change the world. As tutors, mentors, and role models, these young leaders make a difference in the lives of children and transform schools and neighborhoods across the United States. City Year is a proud member of AmeriCorps. Students will have the opportunity to learn about multiple aspects of a non-profit through meeting with staff at our Headquarters from various departments such as Program, Recruitment, Development and Communications. In addition, students will learn about City Year's role in the national service movement and participate in leadership and team building exercises. NOTE: All Site Visits REQUIRE pre-registration. RSVP early, as space is limited.

The American Cancer Society is at work in communities all across the country providing programs aimed at reducing the risk of cancer, detecting cancer as early as possible, ensuring proper treatment, and empowering people facing cancer to cope and maintain the highest possible quality of life.
