Career Seminars Schedule
Participation in seminars is by reservation only. To reserve a seat, log in to your NYU CareerNet account. Click on the "Events" tab and then "Seminars". Seminars meet for one hour unless otherwise indicated. Seminars with fewer than five reservations will be canceled. Please confirm that your NYU CareerNet record is updated with your current phone number.
Please be prompt. Late arrivals to seminars will not be admitted.

Knowing what to expect can put your interviewing anxiety at ease. Learn how to prepare for internship and full-time job interviews. Strategize appropriate responses to the toughest questions, such as strengths, weaknesses, "Tell me about yourself," and salary responses. Learn to organize and conduct a job search in your field of choice. Techniques for locating employment opportunities, including networking and researching employers, are covered. Sources for job leads in a variety of fields are identified.

Learn how to expand your network through the use of social media. Make the connections you need to get the job you want. Additionally, discover key ways to protect your online reputation, and uncover a virtual hidden job market.
On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) Orientation
Open to January, May & Summer 2013 graduates. Learn how to make the most of the OCR program and manage NYU InterviewNet. Mandatory for OCR participants.

Knowing how to submit a resume format that will most effectively market your skills and qualifications for your target job is therefore crucial. Attend this workshop to learn how to convert a standard curriculum vitae into a business resume format that will impress employers outside academia, or learn how to write a resume from scratch that highlights your academic achievements in ways that impress employers.
