2009-2010 Career Fairs
During the fall and spring semesters, career fairs provide a convenient
and unique opportunity to meet with a large number of organizations and agencies
recruiting for full-time and part-time positions. Career fairs draw
recruiters from business, non-profit, and government organizations. Career
fairs offer students the opportunity to explore different industries, gather
information about career options, and connect with employers.
Location
All career fairs* will take place at The Kimmel Center for University Life,
located at 60 Washington Square South, between LaGuardia Place and Thompson

** Please note, the Government and Non-Profit Job Expo will
take place at the Georgetown University Leavey Center, Washington, DC. Click
here for directions. The Women's Foreign Policy Mentor Group Fair will take place at Hemmerdinger Hall, Silver Center. The Master's Level Social Work Job Fair will take place at Columbia University.
Eligibility
Please note that all career fairs* listed on this page are for NYU degree
program (Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral) students and recent
alumni (within 1 year after graduation) only. You will be asked to show
your NYU ID Card upon entry.

Target employers seeking to fill full-time and summer opportunities from industries including finance, communications, non-profit/public service and technology. In addition, this event features employers with current and future diversity recruiting initiatives.

Government & Non-Profit Expo**, Thursday, February 18, 2010, 10:00-3:00pm
Travel to Washington D.C. to meet employers hiring for full-time
and internship positions in the government, non-profit and public
sectors. A great place to network with think tanks and other public
policy organizations.

REGISTRATION
All students must register in
advance on NYU CareerNet to be added to the list of attendees.
NYU TRANSPORTATION
The Wasserman Center will provide free bus transportation to a
limited number of students. Seats on the bus will be assigned on
a first come, first served basis. Students who wish to take the
NYU bus to DC must submit a $20 cash deposit to the Wasserman Center,
located at 133 East 13th Street, 2nd floor. Students are not guaranteed
a seat on the NYU bus until a cash deposit has been submitted to
the Wasserman Center. The deposit will returned on the day of the
expo.
*Students who cancel their bus registration after February
10, or do not show on the day of the expo, will lose the $20 deposit.
Students taking the NYU bus must meet at the pick-up area (140
East 14th Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues) no later than 5:45am
on Thursday, February 18. The bus will leave promptly at 5:45am.
The $20 deposit will be returned to you upon boarding the bus.
You must have your NYU ID card in order to board the bus.
ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION
Students who plan to attend the expo, but do not need NYU bus transportation,
must still register for the event on NYU CareerNet to be added
to the list of attendees. A list of transportation alternatives
is available here.
LOCATION
The Expo will be held at the Georgetown University Hotel
and Conference Center, Leavey Center. A location map and directions

and Swarthmore College
Women's Foreign Policy Group Mentor Fair**, Wednesday,
February 24, 2010, 6:30- 9pm.
This fair is intended for male and female undergraduate and graduate students
interested in learning more about internationally-focused careers. Network
informally in round table discussions with senior-level experts in the field.
Learn about the skills required in the global job market. Listen to valuable
career planning advice and guidance. Fields represented will include: International
Development, NGOs, United Nations, Human Rights, International Law, International
Health, International Business, Foreign Service and Communications. This event
will be held at Hemmerdinger Hall, in the Silver Center.

March 3, 2010, 3:00-7:00pm

Master's Level Social Work Fair**, Friday, April 9, 2010,
11am-3pm
Meet with employers from social service agencies and organizations looking to hire graduate level applicants for opportunities in social work careers.
