InterviewStream FAQ's
About InterviewStream InterviewStream is a web-based
interview training tool that allows you to record practice interviews using a
computer and a web camera. You can select from over 1500 possible interview
questions. Once you have recorded your practice interview responses, you can
invite others by email to view your responses on-line. You have the option
to meet with a career counselor to review your interview clips by scheduling an appointment. There is also
a computer/web-camera set-up and practice room available at the Wasserman Center
which you can reserve if you do not have a web-camera at home.
Accessing InterviewStream You will be able to access
InterviewStream by logging in to your NYU CareerNet account and clicking on the
link titled "Log In to InterviewStream". This will direct you to
the InterviewStream website where you can create an account on the system.
Then, at the InterviewStream home page, click on "Get Started" to create
your account on the InterviewStream system. After you input your contact
information, you will be emailed your log-in information.
Using InterviewStream You can use InterviewStream from your
personal computer as long as you have a web-camera and a high-speed Internet
connection. InterviewStream works on both Macs and PC's. It works most
smoothly in Internet Explorer (PC), and Safari (Mac) Browsers. Firefox works,
but can be glitchy.
Career Counselor Feedback If you wish to obtain career counselor
feedback regarding your practice interviews, you can set up a standard
counseling appointment through the front desk to meet with a career counselor.

"How do I?..." You are encouraged to view the user
demonstration which reviews the main features and functions on the system. The
demo is viewable here, and links to this demo are on each page in the InterviewStream
system.
If you don't have a web-cam... The Wasserman Center has an
InterviewStream practice room with a web-camera and computer that you can
reserve for 1/2 hour time-slots. Contact the Wasserman Center main desk at
212-998-4730 to reserve the room for your use. When you arrive to use the
practice room, a person at the front-desk will escort you to the practice room.
Note: it is recommended that you create your InterviewStream account prior
to coming in to use the office web-camera, so that you have optimum use of the
time in the practice room.
