Interview Schedules/Bidding Process (Please note, bidding only applies to FULL-TIME positions)
Fall Full-time recruitment begins on September 22, 2008 and runs through
December 2008. Interviews are normally scheduled between the hours of 9:00
a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Lunch is scheduled from approximately 12:15p.m. - 1:15 p.m.
If you desire
to shorten or lengthen your schedule, please inform us several weeks prior
to your date, so we can schedule students accordingly.
The On-Campus Recruitment program works on a BIDDING SYSTEM for full-time
recruiting. Please be advised that New York University's Recruitment Policy
requires that the total number of interview slots for full-time positions be
divided between students you pre-select and students who meet the requirements
of your position and are selected via the bidding process. For example, each
schedule containing 13 appointment slots must have a minimum of six (6) bid
winners along with seven (7) pre-selected candidates. This policy ensures that
employers have the opportunity to meet with candidates with varying majors and
experiences, each of whom meet your specified requirements. It is also extremely
critical to ensuring each employer has equal access to students resulting in
the highest possible candidate yield.
Interview Schedule Cancellation PolicyAny interview schedule that is cancelled less than 10 business days prior to the actual interview date will incur a $200.00 cancellation fee. If you must cancel or reschedule your on-campus interviews, please notify the On-Campus Recruitment team at (212) 998-4737. Presentations Employers wishing to conduct a career-related presentation on campus will be assisted in making all the necessary arrangements. There are many career-oriented student organizations that offer employers assistance and cooperation in planning these events.
It is necessary for employers to make arrangements early to assure date and
space availability (fees apply). Special equipment and space requests will be
taken in the order received due to limited availability on our campus. Please
contact Annette Tucker, Manager of Employer Services and Special Events, at
(212) 998-4762 for details and assistance.
Connecting Students to your Organization
The Web is heavily utilized by NYU students who research organizations in
preparation for their interviews. To assist them in this research, the NYU Wasserman
Center for Career Development has created links to the web sites of employers
that recruit on-campus. To add a link to your organization, let us know your
web page address.

Guidelines for Offers of Employment
If offers are extended PRIOR to the start of the fall recruitment season,
employers are asked to give students until November 12, 2008 to make their
final decision so that they may participate in the spring On-Campus Recruitment
Program. If you make full-time offers to students through fall recruiting,
we ask that you give them one month or until December 8, 2008 (whichever comes
later) to decide.
If you plan to convert a summer intern to a full-time hire at the conclusion
of a summer internship, the deadline for students to accept or decline the offer
is Nov 12, 2008.
Reporting Salary/Hiring InformationCareer Development requires employers to inform us of all offers of employment that are extended to students in order to ensure that we maintain accurate statistics regarding student employment.
