2009-2010 CAREER FAIRS
During the fall and spring semesters, career fairs provide recruiters
from business, non-profit, and government agencies a unique and convenient
opportunity to meet with a large number of motivated and interested students.
The fairs afford students the opportunity to gather information about
career options within many organizations and different industries. Attending
a career fair is an excellent way for organizations to gain visibility
on campus and maximize recruiting potential at New York University.
Location
All career fairs* will take place at The Kimmel Center for University
Life, located at 60 Washington Square South, between LaGuardia Place
and Thompson Street. Click

* Students from all races/ethnicities, religions, genders, gender identities,
sexual orientations, ages, levels of ability, national origins, and ancestries
are encouraged to attend.
** Please note, the Government and Non-Profit Job Expo will take
place at the Georgetown University Leavey Center, Washington, DC. Click

directions. The Master's Level Social Work Job Fair will take place at Columbia University.
Fees
A complete list of 2009-2010 career fair fees is available here. Fee
structure can also be found in NYU CareerNet on the registration page of the fair you would like to attend. The
price of each fair varies. Please be aware that fees depend on
for-profit, non-profit and small business status. Our staff may
ask for documentation to verify your organization’s status.
Each registration includes a 4’x18”
table, tablecloth and tent as well as food and
chairs for only 2 representatives.

Registration
All career fair registrations take place online through the NYU CareerNet
System. You must have or create a NYU CareerNet account in order to
register. When creating your account for the first time, you must select "Career
Fair" in the "Services Requested" section of your registration

Spring Job Fair and Diversity EXPO*, Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 11:00-3:00pm
This fair is designed to offer employers a resource for addressing current and future diversity recruiting initiatives. It also provides employers with an opportunity to meet NYU students from diverse backgrounds in search of challenging summer internships and full-time positions.
Government & Non-Profit Expo, Thursday**, February
18, 2010, 10:00-3:00pm
This fair invites employers to meet qualified candidates looking for full time employment and internships
in the government, non-profit and public sectors. The fair is held in collaboration with Georgetown University,
University of Virginia, University of Richmond, College of William & Mary and Swarthmore College. The Expo will
be held at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center, Leavey Center. A location map and directions

Non-Profit, Education and Healthcare Job Fair, Wednesday, March 3, 2010, 3:00-7:00pm
This annual program provides promotional visibility for organizations, as well as the opportunity to meet an energetic and diverse student body. This event is expected to attract NYU students interested in full-time and summer job opportunities in non-profit companies, educational facilities and institutions, healthcare organizations.
Master's Level Social Work Job Fair**, Friday April 9th, 2010, 11am to 3pm
Meet with graduate level students seeking career opportunities
within social service agencies and organizations. This
fair is a collaboration between Adelphi University, Columbia
University School of Social Work, Fordham University
Graduate School of Social Service, Hunter School of Social
Work, Lehman College, Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus, NYU
Silver School of Social Work, SUNY Stony Brook School of Social Welfare,
Touro College School of Social Work and Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work. It will
be held at the Columbia University's Alfred Lerner Hall.

PAST CAREER FAIRS
Fall Job and Internship Fair, Thursday, September 10, 2009, 11:00-3:00 pm
The Fall Job Fair, our largest fair of the year, attracts NYU students of
various majors interested in part-time and full-time opportunities as well as internships.
Many students are interested in both domestic and international positions.
Share information about open positions and recruit qualified applicants.
Admissions Fair: Graduate & Professional Schools, Wednesday, September 30, 2009, 3:00-7:00pm
Students and alumni from New York University and other area colleges (including public and private institutions) from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania will be invited to attend.
